Help For IBS .Com - Survivorship Excellence Award - December 15, 2003
I've had a chronic illness since childhood (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) and there is such a stigma about this disorder that no one ever talks about it. I decided to change that several years ago, and start reaching out to others with IBS via email. That email grew into two books, and several websites that have now been consolidated. My focus is on not just surviving with IBS, but doing everything possible to gain control and live life to the fullest despite IBS. I have been successful, and so have thousands of other people. Our focus is tangible help - we give it, share it, and use it so that we can control our IBS, not vice versa.
